Rubal Ahuja

Project Associate, Tech Policy

Rubal works on the IndiaAI Mission at IIC, supporting initiatives that sit at the intersection of emerging technology and public interest.

Her journey into tech policy began during her time in the impact and finance sectors, where she worked with Fortune 500 companies, nonprofit partnerships, and startup ecosystems. These experiences sparked a growing curiosity: could structural change be better achieved through public policy, rather than philanthropy or private capital alone?

This led her to pursue a Master’s in Economics and Strategy for Business at Imperial College London. There, she explored the digital economy through coursework in Digital Economics, Economics for Innovation, and Public Policy. Her research focused on themes like digital credit, algorithmic reputation systems, and the role of data in shaping inclusion and governance.

Outside of work, she enjoys yoga, reading, and curating music playlists. She’s interested in how tech, policy, and design come together to shape the world around us.
