Ritul Gaur

Project Associate, MeitY, Tech Policy

Ritul is a finance graduate from Christ University, subsequently trained in International Relations and Political Science. He has previously interned with HSBC bank. After graduating, he pivoted to a career in public policy as a development associate at the Vidhi Centre for Legal Policy. At Vidhi, he identified new donors, drafted research grant proposals, prepared impact reports, and strengthened relations with existing stakeholders. After that, he joined Takshashila Institution as an engagement manager. He was responsible for Takshashila’s relations with various stakeholders, hosted their daily podcasts, and wrote a weekly newsletter. He has previously written on philanthropic trends and emigration policy and discussed various issues like urban mobility, climate change rights, and government policies on Takshashila's podcast All things Policy.

As part of the IIC, Ritul is currently working in the International Cooperation Division (ICD) of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. He is involved in formulating India’s G-20 technology policy proposals during its 2023 Presidency for the Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG).

Through IIC, he intends to work towards advancing India's interest in tech policy at multilateral forums.
