Bhavani Pasumarthi
Project Associate, MeitY, Tech Policy
Bhavani is a public policy professional with a keen interest in the intersection of technology and policy. Her interest in policy stems from the impact it has on people and their lives, and she believes that technology can play an instrumental role in building and deploying solutions at scale.
Prior to joining IIC, she was a Public Policy Analyst at The Quantum Hub, a policy consulting firm, where she worked extensively in digital and tech policy, political and economic policy, and related fields. She was involved in policy research and writing, program management, stakeholder communication and advocacy in these areas. Previously, she also worked at the Foundation of Democratic Reforms (FDR), a policy research think tank, where she contributed to research and advocacy in education, agriculture and electoral reforms. At FDR, she designed and headed a project on ‘Data-driven Governance’ that focused on reforming the Indian Statistical System to promote evidence-based policymaking in the country. At IIC, Bhavani hopes to further her work in tech policy by contributing to building an effective and inclusive framework for digital health.
