Anvita Nair
Project Associate, Digital Health Karnataka
Anvita graduated with a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from PES University, Bangalore. She worked as a Consultant at EY for three years after her graduation. Anvita developed a penchant for social impact at a young age while working at an NGO. She started her own her initiative Patronus, to raise awareness on mental health, in 2020. Under her initiative, she ran a campaign to the Government of Karnataka asking them to mandatorily screen all perinatal women in the state for their mental health.
After her stint at EY, Anvita joined the Legislative Assistants to Members of Parliament (LAMP) Fellowship, where she worked with a Member of Parliament and gained first-hand experience with policy-making at the national level. As a LAMP, she was exposed to gaps at the grassroots level that hinder the effective implementation of government schemes.
Through IIC, Anvita hopes to gain a better understanding of the intricacies of the health sector in India, and how digital systems can bridge the implementation gap in government schemes. Her ultimate goal is to run a not-for-profit organization that works on democratizing access to mental health through community health solutions.
