Sanchit Raina

Project Associate, PMJAY

Originally from Jammu & Kashmir, Sanchit’s work focuses on public systems, social protection, and implementation at the intersection of healthcare, livelihoods, and identity. He began his career with a Delhi-based nonprofit, working on access to education for underprivileged children and women empowerment programmes across urban settlements in Delhi and rural parts of Haryana.

He later joined the Urban Fellows Programme at the Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) Bengaluru, where he engaged with questions of social protection, identity, and governance, with a focus on how different social issues intersect within public systems. Following this, he worked as a policy fellow with the district administration in Barwani, a predominantly tribal and rural district in Madhya Pradesh, where he supported initiatives related to health, nutrition, livelihoods, and systems strengthening.

At the International Innovation Corps, Sanchit is interested in understanding how stronger institutional coordination and implementation can improve the effectiveness of social programmes at scale.
