Vaishnavi Shukla

Project Associate,DoHE

Vaishnavi comes to IIC with experience across education, policy, and systems change. Post her Master’s in Political Science from the University of Delhi, she began her journey in the social impact sector as a Teach For India Fellow in Delhi, where she taught 131 middle-grade girls and implemented differentiated learning strategies to build inclusive classrooms.

She later worked with The Education Alliance, supporting teacher professional development for over 1.5 lakh teachers under Mission Ankur with the Government of Madhya Pradesh. At TEA, she also contributed to organizational development, capacity building, and school quality enhancement program under the Learning Ready Schools initiative.

Alongside her professional work, Vaishnavi has led Project WhyLens across three states in India—an initiative she founded to nurture safer and more inclusive learning spaces through conversations around child rights, peace, and solidarity. Her experiences with organizations such as Pratham, the Indian School of Democracy, and Young Leaders for Active Citizenship further deepened her interest in policy, education, gender, and grassroots systems change.

At IIC, Vaishnavi hopes to explore how digital systems and public policy can strengthen educational equity and improve implementation at scale. She strongly believes that human development holds even greater importance in times of rapid technological advancement and innovation, and sees IIC as a space that can enable her to contribute meaningfully toward that vision.

Outside of work, she enjoys singing, composing songs, journaling, and spending time with her furry friends.
