Kanishtha Kujur
Project Associate, NHA
With a foundation in human-centered design and systems thinking, Kanishtha is a designer interested in understanding how people navigate systems, services, and everyday realities, and translating those insights into contextually relevant and equitable interventions.
Her practice has evolved across sectors ranging from textile and craft design to digital innovation, public health, and design research. Following her design education at National Institute of Design and Politecnico di Milano, she worked with community-led enterprises in rural India, contributed to digital transformation and workflow automation projects in Germany, led formative research for a pan-Nepal social and behaviour change strategy, and explored the integration of human-centered design within public health innovation. Across these experiences, she has used research, participatory approaches, and strategic thinking to navigate layered systems and translate insights into grounded, long-term solutions.
For Kanishtha, design is a way of making sense of interconnected realities and creating pathways for meaningful change. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring new places, capturing them through sketches, and quietly observing the subtle connections between people, places, and systems that often go unnoticed.
