Steven Walker

Project Associate, Rajasthan Education Project

Steven is a public policy analyst with four years of experience in international health and social policy. Prior to joining the IIC, he spent the past three years in Cambodia working on health and development programs, initially serving as a Peace Corps volunteer implementing rural health education projects on topics ranging from open defecation to food insecurity. Subsequently, he worked with UNICEF on strengthening the country’s social assistance programs. In this role, he wrote a series of policy briefs on coverage of national social protection programs and consulted on a pilot program to improve the identification of poor families, aimed at increasing their sustained access to social services. Steven completed his Master of Public Policy from the University of Chicago in 2018 and holds a B.S. in Economics from Virginia Commonwealth University. Outside of work, he is an amateur chef, aspiring polyglot, and avid traveler.
