Senior Project Associate, Rajasthan Education Project
Sanjana Mohanty graduated from National Law University, Delhi in 2014. Thereafter she worked as a law clerk to Justice J. Chelameswar, Supreme Court of India, working on matters including public interest litigations and constitutional challenges to Government policy decisions. She subsequently joined the litigation team of Zeus Law in New Delhi, where she was involved in a wide range of cases before various Courts and Tribunals. She encountered the challenging intricacies of the social, legal and political setup of India, first in law school, volunteering for the UNDP-GoI Access to Justice Project and othercommunity outreach programmes, and later while practicing law. Through IIC she hopes to acquire skills that will enable her to contribute in innovative and effective ways towards bridging the unpalatable distances between the efforts of a welfare state on paper and their translation into reality. In her free time, she likes to sing, dance and bake tirelessly.
