Matt LaFond

Applied Data Fellow, Cook County Sheriff's Office

After earning an undergraduate degree in Mathematics from Northwestern University, Matt decided to pursue his Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy. At Harris, Matt was able to combine his quantitative mindset with his passion for public service. When Matt graduated from Harris, he was a finalist for the Presidential Management Fellowship. However, due to his desire to work at the local level, he decided to join the Applied Data Fellowship program through the International Innovation Corps. Over the next year, Matt will be working on research projects for the Cook County Sheriff.
